Certification Exam Process

We’ve partnered with TesTrac to deliver the official Nagios certification exams online. The basic process is outlined below:

1.  Create an account with our certification partner TesTrac.

2.  Add an exam to your cart and schedule your exam.

  • Note: You must pass the Professional exam before taking the Administrator exam.
  • Review the Nagios Certification Agreement (PDF). By purchasing or taking a Nagios certification test, you agree to the terms of this agreement.

3.  You will receive an email within one business day with a link to schedule your exam.

  • On the day of your exam, open the Calendly link provided when you scheduled your test. Please enter at least 10 minutes before testing.
  • Your proctor will greet you and ask you to share your screen.
  • Your proctor will then email you the link to the exam.
  • Upon exam completion you will be notified of Pass/Fail status.
  • Note: You can cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before your reservation.

4.  Upon completing the exam, you will receive your certificate via email within three business days from [email protected].

Minimum Technology Requirements For The Exam

Valid ID to prove you are the candidate.

A quiet room free from distractions.

3.

A functional computer with 1 GB of RAM or higher.

4.

A stable wired high-speed internet connection (minimum 3 Mbps). A wireless internet connection is not recommended.

5.

A webcam with 1280 x 600 video pixel resolution or better (laptop cameras are acceptable).

6.

Working speakers connected to the computer.

7.

A microphone connected to the computer (consider a webcam with a built-in microphone).

8.

Use a compatible browser. Chrome and Edge are preferred, but Firefox and Safari are also supported.

The exam is delivered online via TesTrac, a professional testing service. All exams are taken remotely with a live proctor.

  • You are able to turn your microphone on.
  • You are able to turn your video on.

Note: Tablets, Chromebooks, and iPads are not allowed to be used. You must have a laptop or workstation.
