About Sam Napier
Sam Napier got into Nagios back in 2006 when he was working as a Desktop Support Expert for the University of Missouri Library System. He was managing about 200 public workstations, and the monitoring solution at the time was… well, walking around and checking them manually — pure sneakernet. That got old fast, so he started searching for a better way, stumbled onto Nagios, and has been using it ever since.

Monitoring Proxmox with Nagios XI
This session covers Proxmox monitoring with Nagios XI. I’ll discuss what metrics are available in the Proxmox API, introduce Proxmoxer and the monitoring wizard, and walk through using the Proxmox monitoring wizards to create host and service objects in Nagios XI, including what’s created within CCM and advanced configuration with macros.
