Release Summary

This is the last planned release of the old NLS backend. We fixed a number of bugs. Now is a great time to do migration planning to the new backend if you haven’t already. Thanks for your support of these version of Nagios Log Server, we’ll see you on the new one! [Video Overview]

  • Fixed an issue where changing the NCPA token would not apply the new token to all instances [GL:NLS#820] – TL
  • Fixed an issue where NRDP server validation failed when the server responded with a redirect [GL:NLS#238] – TL
  • Fixed an issue where the API was overly permissive to logged in users with incorrect API tokens [GL:NLS#69] – JS
  • Fixed an issue where the Elasticsearch systemd service referenced a missing PHP script [GL:NLS#896] – TL
  • Fixed an issue where the upgrade script could be ran on a 2024R2+ NLS system [GL:NLS#932] – TL
  • Fixed an issue where users without proper permissions could view other users on the Alerts page [GL:NLS#25] – JS

  • Improved the Monitor Backend page to show the status of an NCPA token update for each instance [GL:NLS#228] – TL
  • Increased Elasticsearch startup wait time during upgrades to five minutes [GL:NLS#897] – TL
  • Updated the NCPA install process to always install the latest version of NCPA [GL:NLS#887] – JS
