Nagios is looking for a self-driven, talented Full Stack Developer to join our quickly growing team!

Required Technical Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in software development in the workplace
  • Degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PHP
  • Demonstrated proficiency working with the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Demonstrated proficiency with JSON APIs
  • Experience building APIs, PHP web applications
  • Experience converting older applications to use newer technologies
  • Experience with continuous testing and/or continuous development
  • Experience with procedural and object-oriented development
  • Experience with jQuery/JavaScript libraries
  • Experience with Boostrap CSS
  • Experience using Git, GitHub, or GitLab

Preferred Technical Qualifications:

  • Experience with basic Linux administration and shell scripting
  • Experience with relational database systems (MySQL/PostgesQL)
  • Experience with other programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Python or Perl
  • Experience with APIs/backend code written in Node.js
  • Experience with React frontends
  • Post-secondary degree in computer science
  • Experience with VMware or other virtualization solution
  • Experience with team management

Required General Qualifications:

  • Local to the Minneapolis/Saint Paul metro area
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent grasp of the English language
  • Attention to detail
  • Professional work ethic and attitude
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Self-starter that demonstrates initiative
  • Ability to learn and problem-solve quickly

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Standard office environment
  • Temporarily Remote during COVID
  • Full Time – 40 hours/week
  • Must have flexibility to work more than standard 8-hour days occasionally
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Compensation and Benefits:
